This is our new blog. We decided to change the name since we have another one on the way and didn't think this new baby would appreciate the blog being named for his/her older brother. Yeah, didn't think that one through when we started this.
And if you have AveryPottmeyer.blogspot.com bookmarked. No worries. This URL has been re-directed to 23Lake.blogspot.com. I am such a dork!

Baby on the Way
We had a surprise ultrasound that allowed us to get a first glimpse of the new baby. The dude or dudette had a strong heartbeat at 170bpm. We also got to see the little hands, fingers, feet and toes. It was too early to see the sex, so we have to wait another 6 or 7 weeks to find out. We were so excited to see a healthy little baby in there. We can't wait to find out what we are having!

This scan is not very good, but maybe you can make out a baby from it.

Avery Turns Two!
Our little buttercup is now two years old! The last couple of years have flown by way too fast. Avery enjoyed a pretty low key birthday this year. We had just got back from vacation, so we decided a birthday at home would be best.
Avery woke up to some gifts like a train table and a tent. Mommy and Avery spent the day at the park and doing little boy activities like playing in the dirt.

Mimi and Papa were able to visit Avery on his birthday. Avery tried out his swinging skills on a new tee set. We enjoyed a dinner out at Diehl's and ice cream cake for dessert.

That next weekend Mamaw, Papaw, and Isabella came to visit. They took Avery to Chuck E. Cheese and got him a new sandbox. Unfortunately, our camera crashed and no pictures were taken of their stay here. We know they had a great time though.

Lake Michigan Vacation
Back in mid-July, we set off for a long weekend vacation with the Lauchards to Union Pier, Michigan. The boys had their first beach experience and we had a blast. Ryan did a great job organizing the whole trip and provided us with some delicious meals during our stay. We stayed at the Elephant Walk Cottages.
Our lovely husbands treated us, ladies, to a morning massage at a local day spa, while they enjoyed an afternoon of wine and brew tasting at a local winery. The toddler boys spent hours on the beach in the sand and the water, went to a train store, ate ice cream, played on multiple playgrounds, rode a carousel, played in a water park, and much much more. Here are just a few photos to remember our trip.

Game Over?
Many of you devoted blog followers (all three of you), might be asking yourself, "Does life cease to exist on planet Avery?" Fear not, for we have merely taken a minor sabbatical due to technical difficulties with our Sony Cyber-shot.
Life continues here in the grand establishment of Nitro. Father Pottmeyer is still a doting husband and father working hard to provide for his family, Mother Pottmeyer is ready to re-join society after a month of gagging reflexes from a squirming baby in her belly, and Son Pottmeyer love animals, still believes that iCarly is his girlfriend and goes on the potty 50% of the time.
