The Allen clan came to visit us in the new house. Peyton and Avery are only a month apart in age and are about the exact same size. They are good at wearing each other down after playing hard.

We Did It!

This long, tiring, stressful process is finally over. We moved into our new house over the weekend with the help of some great friends and family who made it all possible. We couldn't have done it without you guys! We are loving the new house and slowly sorting through the boxes. This will be quite an adjustment for us since we are in a new town and are out of our comfort zone, but we can already see that this house and surrounding area offers us many opportunities that just weren't available at the old house. We think it will be a great place for Avery to grow up. Now we are looking forward to lots and lots of visitors!

We Loved This House

This is more difficult than we imagined to say goodbye to the home where it all began. The hardest part is leaving behind the memories that were shared. While we know many wonderful adventures and experiences are awaiting us at our new house, the neighbor friends we have made won't be just down the street anymore, Derrick and I will never be newlyweds again in our first home, and Avery will never get any younger or stay the same. So it's not the house, it's just the change that stirs up these emotions. The laughs, the house projects, the games of chase around the kitchen table after dinner, the lost cheerios under the couch, the boo-boos on the forehead, the burnt dinners, and the "uh-ohs" will follow us to the next house. We have been so blessed. Goodbye to this chapter and welcome the next.
