Sweet Little Visitor From Oklahoma

We were lucky enough to get a visit from a sweet little Oklahomian girl and Brandy Lou (also a sweet little Oklahomian girl).

Shaved Head

We decided that Avery's sweaty head was going to be a nuisance to him all summer, so what the heck, why not shave it? It is not shaved on the top, but that might come off evenutally too. As if he didn't already look like his dad enough, now they sport the same 'do.

Mission: Attack Daddy

This is top secret. Mommy had $18 register rewards at Walgreens. So, we went to Walgreens this morning with the usual lame-o stock up on staples in mind, but Avery's eye caught a glimpe of some fun toys in the seasonal aisle. We just had to check it out. Next thing we knew, our cart was full with outdoor TOYS! Now we are just ready and waiting for tonight when daddy pulls in the driveway, we are going to attack him from all sides with our water guns and water balloons. He won't know what hit him. Again, this is completely confidential.

Brought Mommy To Tears

Today Avery and Mommy went to their last MOPS (Mother's of PreSchoolers) gathering for the year. When I picked Avery up from his "class" I had a very nice Mother's Day surprise from my little Moppet. It said:

Sometimes you get discouraged

Because I am so small

And always leave my fingerprints

On furniture and walls.

But every day I'm growing -

I'll be grown some day

And all those tiny handprints

Will surely fade away.

So here's a little handprint

Just so you can recall

Exactly how my fingers looked

When I was very small.

Haha..not so much. Soon after, Avery began to jerk the fishing pole out of the water and swing it around, thus catching mom in the finger with the hook. We won't be going fishing for a while.
