Congrats to the Lauchards!

Congratulations to Lacey, Ryan, and Connor on welcoming their new baby, Finnegan! We can't wait to meet you and are excited to have a new nephew and cousin!

Our Latest Wallpaper Project

Anyone that has been in our house knows that almost every room has wallpaper that ranges from floral patterns, rabbits & bears, stripes, jukeboxes, to 50s cars. We are slowly working room by room to remove some of the wallpaper that we despise the most. The most recent room we started on is the half bathroom. We will be sure to post pictures once we get it finished, but here are some before pictures.

Getting the Nursery Ready

During Daddy's break we got all the baby stuff out of the attic and washed, rinsed, sterilized, battery-filled, you name it, to get ready for our new arrival in February. Avery had to try everything out for his new little brother.  A month or so ago, Derrick painted the room and removed the floral border in this room.

After Christmas Playtime

Avery is enjoying all the great new toys Christmas brought.

Obviously, I know nothing about how to work with motion on this camera, but Avery gets some serious air time on his new trampoline from Mamaw and Papaw.

Christmas in Ohio

After Christmas at our house, we headed to Ohio to celebrate Christmas with the Allens and the Pottmeyers. Avery was spoiled some more by his grandparents. We also got to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Pottmeyer, along with a few aunts and uncles. We had a lovely Christmas!

Grouchy kids.
Happy kids.

Christmas Morning

Santa sure found us this year. Avery couldn't believe his eyes when he woke up on Christmas morning. Trains, football, puzzles, RC car, and, of course, Toy Story guys.

It's Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve consisted of wrapping presents, making a huge dinner, going to Christmas Eve church service, and preparing for Santa. It was a nice, peaceful day at home.

Lincoln and Avery

Avery's friend, Lincoln, came over for what was their last playdate. :(  Lincoln and his family will be moving soon after Christmas. We will be sad to see them go, but wish them the best of luck in their new endeavors. Shelby has been a great mommy friend during their short stay here in Charleston. Best of luck to the Paulks!

Cookie Extravaganza

Our Valentine, I mean Christmas cookie assembly line.
Step 1: Derrick ice a cookie with not red, but pink icing.
Step 2: Avery sprinkle with not red, but pink sprinkles.
Step 3: Avery take bite or lick of cookie.
Step 4: Avery place half eaten cookie on plate for distribution to family and friends.
(Kidding, no eaten or licked cookies have been given out)

Let It Snow!!
