Goodbye 23 Lake Drive!

In June, we said goodbye to our house in Nitro for good. It was a great home and we will always remember the wonderful times at that home. We packed up and got ready to move to Billings. It was a long, hard process, but we made it through.

Boys last time at house.

Saying goodbye to the lake and the trail.

Mommy was the last one to leave the house. Derrick took off earlier in the day to start driving to Montana. The boys were already in Ohio. I stayed to see the truck off. Goodbye house!

Safety Town

Avery attended Safety Town at Beverly Elementary School for two weeks. Peyton attended with him. I think they had a great time!

He had a good group of cousins come to see him on his last day!

Avery Preschool Graduation

Avery graduated from 4-year old preschool and his last year at St. Paul's Preschool in Nitro. Good job Ave!

Love this picture of Avery's last day of preschool.

Devin at Avery's graduation.

Avery said he wanted to be a fireman when he grows up, which he changed at the last minute because he didn't want to be a doctor like everyone else.

May

So very behind on this blog. Maybe that is because we have had some major life changing events happening recently, but more on that later. May was a fun month. Here are a few highlights.

Day Trip to the Greenbrier and the White Sulphur Springs area. The Greenbrier is absolutely breathtaking.

Mother's Day Pic for 2013.
(I could have dressed a little better for the occasion).

A few rainy days here and there. But, the boys had a ball playing in the rain.

Warm Spring Days

Nadine Got Married!

One of my greatest friends every, Nadine, got married! It was such a beautiful ceremony and I loved seeing many college friends including Anne and Cara. Congrats Nadine and Matt!

Billings

The first week of April, Derrick and I took a trip to Billings. This was my first trip to our new city and I was impressed. We lucked out with the weather, so that made the trip much more pleasant. We spent quite a bit of time looking at houses, only to find out that real estate is moving so quickly out there that most of the houses we liked are already gone. We have in fact put in three different offers, in contract on two and have lost both of them. Aside from all of the house stuff, we got to meet Avery's new teacher next year at his new school. Workout at our new gym. Eat at some of Derrick's favorite places. And explore Billings. I think it will be a nice home for us for awhile.
