We had been thinking Avery needed a pet. Lo and behold, Terry the Turtle comes strutting his stuff into our backyard. Terry was a great pet for the 20 minutes that we watered, soothed, and nurtured this little turtle. We set him free in the woods with the hopes that he would come back to visit us again someday. Ta Ta for now Terry the Turtle. You will be missed!

Circus!
Overall, Avery was attentive at the circus. We were a little worried during the pre-show meltdown that occurred in the lobby. Once the horses and dogs came out, he was glued. He LOVED the elephants, as did we all. The tigers were cool too. Avery has been "rahrring" since, imitating the tigers. Daddy was even able to get in a quick catnap during the show after a long week of work.

Gardening Season
One of the fun things about spring is planting things and watching them grow. We especially enjoy seeing what is popping up in our landscaping at our new house and having room to plant new things.

Avery was given the chance to choose any flower out to be his own to water everyday. Of course, he wanted a flower that is yellow because that is the flavor of the week. He chose this dahlia. His great-grandpa Allen would have been very proud. He was known for his beautiful dahlias. We hope that Avery and mommy can inherit his green thumb (or at least not let this little flower die).
Mommy is trying her hand at window gardening of herbs. That is about her speed. Two small plants indoors.
